Man arrested for recent Circle K robberies in Scottsdale

Scottsdale police said they received numerous tips on the case.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A 27-year-old man is in custody for a recent series of robberies at Circle Ks in Scottsdale.

Nicholas Shoemaker was arrested without incident Thursday afternoon for multiple counts of armed robbery, according to police.

Police said prior to shoemaker's arrest, he robbed a Circle K near McDowell Road and 68th Street on Thursday around 1 p.m.

Shoemaker did not show a weapon or pretend to have one this time, but he did demand money from the clerks. The clerk gave Shoemaker an unknown amount of money and Shoemaker left without incident, police said.

Scottsdale police said they received numerous tips that led investigators to identify Shoemaker as a possible suspect.

After analyzing video surveillance from the area of the incidents, investigators were able to positively identify Shoemaker, police said.
