Thank you for visiting 12news.com for the weekend traffic report. According to ADOT, here’s what you need to know for the weekend of September 21-24, 2018. Commuters will deal with a few closures around the Valley this weekend.

A big closure in the west Valley takes place on the Loop 303. The Loop 303 is closed in both directions between the I-10 in Goodyear and Happy Valley Parkway in north Peoria for pavement-improvements, Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday 6 p.m. All I-10 ramps to Loop 303 northbound and southbound in are Goodyear closed. Sections of Loop 303 will reopen to traffic in stages as work along freeway progresses on Saturday. Please allow extra travel time and consider using the Loop 101 as alternate freeway route as well as Sarival Avenue for local northbound traffic and Cotton Lane for local southbound traffic. Commercial vehicles must use Loop 101 or Interstate 17 as an alternate north-south route.

The I-10 eastbound is closed between 75th and 51st avenues in west Phoenix for work on the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange, Friday 9 p.m. till Sunday 8 a.m. I-10 eastbound on-ramps at 91st, 83rd and 79th avenues are also closed. Please allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes, including Loop 101 northbound and eastbound in the West Valley

There is a surface street closure in the southwest valley this weekend. 59th Avenue is closed between Van Buren Street and Lower Buckeye Road from Friday 9 p.m. to Monday to 5 a.m. for utility work.

Now to the southeast part of town, the I-10 is closed intermittently east of SR 587 (Casa Blanca Road) for overhead utility line work on Sunday from 6 a.m. till noon. Expect up to four temporary closures lasting up to 20 minutes each time. Please allow extra travel time. 6 a.m. – noon Sunday

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Chicago Bears at State Farm Stadium on Sunday. Expect heavy delays in the west valley on the I-10 westbound and Loop 101. If you are heading out the game here are some details.

Main Gates open at 11:45 a.m.

Kick-off is at 1:25 p.m.
