Here's your weekend traffic outlook for August 24 - August 27

Thank you for visiting 12news.com for the weekend traffic report. Here’s what you need to know for the weekend of August 24 - 27, 2018. Commuters will deal with a few lane restrictions and closures this weekend.

Let’s start off in the West Valley. The I-10 westbound is narrowed to three lanes between 48th and 32nd streets near Sky Harbor Airport for barrier-wall repairs from Friday 9 p.m. till Saturday 9 a.m. Also, the I-10 eastbound HOV lane is closed in the area during the same times.

Then, the I-10 eastbound is narrowed to three lanes between 63rd and 43rd avenues in west Phoenix for work on Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange. These restrictions take place twice this weekend, first Friday 9 p.m. to Saturday 4 p.m. then again Sunday 8 p.m. until Monday 4 a.m. Please note that the I-10 eastbound on-ramp at 51st Avenue is closed.

59th Avenue is scheduled to be closed between Van Buren Street and Lower Buckeye Road from Friday 8 p.m. to Saturday 8 a.m.

Another restriction that will continue during the week due to the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange construction is on the I-10. The I-10 westbound is narrowed to one lane overnight between 43rd and 59th avenues in west Phoenix Sunday through Wednesday evenings from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Also, the I-10 westbound on-ramp at 43rd Avenue and off-ramp at 51st Avenue are closed. Please allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes, including Loop 101 west of I-17.

The final restriction is on the Loop 303 in the West Valley. The Loop 303 northbound is narrowed to one lane between I-10 and Thomas Road for temporary barrier wall removal and guardrail work from Saturday 8 p.m. till Sunday 9 a.m. The I-10 westbound ramp to Loop 303 northbound is narrowed to one lane and please note that the Loop 303 southbound right lane is closed between Indian School and Thomas roads.
