Pedestrian severely injured in hit-and-run in Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. - A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene in Glendale Monday evening, Glendale PD said.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said they believe the pedestrian, 67-year-old Kenneth Cahill, was inside a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.

He was hit at 60th Avenue and Glendale Avenue around 7 p.m. Officers said the suspect vehicle is described as a dark color sedan with damage to the front of the car and possibly the windshield from the impact. 

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the crash to call 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377).
