PHOENIX- The family of 46 year-old Isela Ortega is asking for help to find the driver who hit and killed her.
“My sister does deserves justice,” said Alicia Medrano, Ortega's sister.
Medrano says Ortega was on her way to get food at Romero's on 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street when she was struck by a car. She was just a few blocks away from her house.
The Phoenix Police Department is looking for a light gray or silver Chrysler 300 made between 2005 and 2010.
The driver took off and surveillance video from a nearby business shows the Chrysler pull into Jimmy Jacks Hamburgers restaurant at 30th Avenue and Van Buren Street, about three blocks from where Ortega was struck. Her body is still on the roof of the car.
Another cell phone video recorded by witnesses who were following the suspect's vehicle shows the Chrysler in front of them as Ortega's body falls off the car in the restaurant parking lot.
"Whoever did it, please come forward, to let us know, to not be a coward," said Medrano.
The driver, who did not remain at the scene, is described as a 20-25-year-old man who is about 6-feet tall and weighs between 150 and 200 pounds. He has shaved or very short light brown or blonde hair, police said.
