1 dead, 2 hospitalized in 2-car crash in south Phoenix

Phoenix police said a 58-year-old man was killed and two others hospitalized after a crash Wednesday afternoon.

PHOENIX — One person has died, and two others were hospitalized after a crash in south Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said the two-vehicle crash happened Wednesday afternoon near 19th Avenue and Dobbins Road.

The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Forrest Wade. 

When police arrived at the scene, they found one man unresponsive in one of the vehicles and two others who were injured. Police said three people were transported to the hospital where one man died from his injuries.

Police said speeding may have been a factor in causing the fatal crash. A charging decision will be made after the investigation concludes.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
