PHOENIX - A gun is missing from a Phoenix gun shop and police believe they may have caught the person who took it on video.

Surveillance video from Elite Ordnance Manufacturing in Phoenix shows a man in his mid-20s looking at guns.

"He's asking the clerk if he can check out a smaller handgun and the clerk hands it over and the guy is looking at the gun and then he turns away just a little bit from the camera and when we see him again it looks like the butt of a gun is sticking out of the pocket of his sweatshirt," said James Rothschild with Silent Witness. "That wasn't there before he was handed the gun and his hand moved towards that area after he was handed the gun."

The disappearing act may not have been in plain camera view but it's enough for investigators to put high priority on finding the suspect for questioning.

"The mere theft of a gun in Arizona makes it a felony and we now need to be concerned, where did that gun end up?" Rothschild said. "Part of that is finding out who this guy is."

In the video, you can see that even after the gun goes missing, the suspect continues to keep looking around the store and even checks out other guns before leaving.
