U.S. Marshals shot and killed a 71-year-old man Tuesday morning in north Phoenix, police said.

Officers with the Phoenix Police Department arrived on the scene near Central Avenue and Hatcher Road to assist three U.S. Marshals conducting a fugitive investigation who reported there was an officer-involved shooting.
