Another week of rain, snow chances for Arizona

Areas across northern Arizona could are forecast to be the most impacted by showers and thunderstorms starting Wednesday.

PHOENIX — The National Weather Service in Flagstaff said this week can be best described as "unsettled" for northern Arizona in a weekly weather briefing sent on Monday.

According to NWS Flagstaff, rain chances are in the forecast every day this week.

NWS Flagstaff tweeted Monday that some showers and thunderstorms were possible in the afternoon to early evening from Flagstaff to the New Mexico border.

Afternoon showers will again be possible Tuesday before storms become more widespread on Wednesday and Thursday, according to NWS Flagstaff. Light mountain snow will also be possible in areas above 6,000 feet during that time.

There's also a chance for showers in the Valley forecast. NWS Phoenix says the chance is slight for Wednesday night through Thursday morning.

NWS Tucson says a slight chance of showers is in the forecast for Thursday.
