TEMPE, Ariz. - Move over Silicon Valley! The city of Tempe is celebrating the creation of 800 new tech jobs.

City and state leaders celebrated the ribbon cutting for the new facility Tuesday morning.

There are currently 400 job openings with Willis Towers Watson at a new technology hub and service center at Washington Street and Priest Drive.

Over the next two years, there will be 400 more job opportunities.

The mayor of Tempe Mark Mitchell said it will be beneficial to the city and the company.

"[This opportunity is] not by accident. It's because of all the work we've done as a council and as a community to really make those investments to attract companies," Mitchell said.
