Time to raise a glass for the four Valley breweries that brought back medals to Arizona from the World Beer Cup.

The World Beer Cup, started in 1996, is an event held every two years celebrating the best in beer and brewing.

There were 8,234 beers entered, 2,515 breweries, 66 countries and 101 beer styles in this year’s competition, according to the website.

There were two bronze winners, one silver and a gold among the Arizona state beer makers.

McFate Brewing Company in Scottsdale took the top spot in the Chile Beer category with its Hatch Chile Gatos.

Saddle Mountain Brewing Company in Goodyear grabbed the silver with its Taildragger Clan-Destine in the Scottish-Style Ale category.

Four Peaks Brewing Company in Tempe won bronze for its Four Peaks Golden Lager in the Other International-Style Lager category. And O.H.S.O. Brewery in Paradise Valley also won bronze for its 89Ale in the American-Style Amber Lager category.

Cheers to these Arizona breweries!
