2 robbery suspects wanted in Phoenix

If the information you provide leads to an arrest of indictment, you could receive a reward of up to $1,000.

PHOENIX - Investigators are on the lookout for two suspects who allegedly committed robberies at two separate Phoenix gas stations.

“Once this guy comes into the store, he goes behind the counter and he punches the clerk right in the head,” said Sgt. Jamie Rothschild with Silent Witness.

It happened at the Shell gas station near 24th Avenue and Bethany Home Road on May 18 at 12:45 a.m.

“The clerk falls to the ground and that’s when the suspect starts to take money out of the register,” he said. “He was dropping it and then he’s kind of fumbling to pick it up... he seemed a little frantic.”

The suspect is described as a while male between 25 and 35 years old. He has long hair and a beard.

He’s 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap with red writing, a long-sleeved gray shirt and black pants.

“He’s even got tattoos on his wrists we’re told,” said Rothschild. “So we want people to really look at this video and these photos and let us know where this guy is.”

The second case happened a week and a half later on May 27th, just after 2:30 am at another Shell gas station. This one happened near 49th Street and Shea Boulevard.

“The first time the suspect comes in, he’s acting like a customer,” he said. “He’s paying for gas... he even looks around the store a little bit.”

But the second time he comes in about 10 minutes later.

“He’s wearing a different shirt and that’s when he has the gun and tells the clerk to hand over money,” said Rothschild. “We don’t know what his intent was the first time he came in... was he scoping out the place... was he a true customer? We don’t know, but when he changed his shirt, got a gun and came in and told the clerk to open the register, his intent was clear.”

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 25 and 32 years old. He’s somewhere between 5’3" and 5'5" and weighs between 140-150 pounds. He was seen leaving in a silver 4-door car.
