PHOENIX — Police say a 16-year-old girl has died following a car crash near 24th Street and University Drive Tuesday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the teen girl was sitting in the rear of a car involved in the crash.
The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition where she later died.
The intersection of 24th Street and University Drive is closed as police investigate the crash. Police say to avoid the area.
