One person was killed in a pedestrian-involved car accident on the Interstate 17 north of New River on Saturday.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on I-17 southbound near Rock Springs.
The pedestrian was reportedly found on the shoulder of the highway.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The southbound lanes of the highway are closed while authorities investigate.
