This weekend - make plans to spend time with your family and friends at any Arizona State Park, lake, mountain or trail and you could win prizes!

Arizona State Parks has teamed up with the free Outdoor Adventure Quest app for a 3-day quest Friday April 14 - Sunday April 16.

The app is free to download and it's $35 per person to participate in the build-your-own app adventure.

There are hundreds of recreation sites and thousands of miles of trails in Arizona to choose from.

There's 12 different outdoor activities to choose from such as hiking, biking, paddle boarding and camping.

You earn points by completing various tasks during the activity. There are also different levels of difficulty.

The app uses GPS to guide you to the spot where the task is to be completed. Then, you'll snap a selfie or video showing you and your group completing the task.

There can be up to six people on a team.

Those points could win you prizes such as outdoor gear like climbing shoes and sleeping bags, a one year pass to AZ State Parks or a 2-day cabin stay.

There are four ways to win - most points, most creative team, photo competition and app team's favorite group.

On Friday April 14, you can pick up a free Arizona State Park's pass for the quest at the Outdoor Recreation Info Center at 23751 N. 23rd Ave. #190 in Phoenix.
