Get FREE admission to the State Fair and help those in need

St. Mary’s Food Bank is partnering with the fair and Sanderson Ford to help feed the needy in our state, and you can participate too.

PHOENIX — The 2022 Arizona State Fair is here, and you can get in for free and help a great cause!

St. Mary’s Food Bank is partnering with the fair and Sanderson Ford to help feed the needy in our state, and you can participate too.

Guests who bring a donation of 10 non-perishable food items (per person) to the State Fair on five Fridays (Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28) will receive FREE ADMISSION (normally $15) from noon to 6 p.m. only.

The offer is good for an unlimited amount of people, but each person will need their own 10 food items to receive the discount.

For example, if a family of five each brings ten cans of food, they would save a combined $75 to spend on all the fun and food inside the fair.

“We need to stock our shelves both now and for the upcoming holidays and are very appreciative of the Arizona State Fair and Sanderson Ford for supporting St. Mary’s," Food Bank President and CEO Tom Kertis said.

Look for the St. Mary’s Food Bank volunteers stationed outside each of the main entrances to the State Fair and exchange your 10-can donation for your free admission ticket – which is good for that day only.

Over the years, St. Mary’s has collected more than 600,000 pounds of food which immediately goes to help Arizonans in need.

Most needed items by the food bank are:

  1. Peanut Butter
  2. Canned fruits and vegetables
  3. Canned meats
  4. Canned beans

The following items will NOT BE ACCEPTED:

  1. All perishable food, including fruits and bread
  2. Bottled water, soda and any other beverages
  3. All baby food
  4. Seasoning packets, ramen noodles, snack chips and “Cup o Noodles”
  5. Any items in glass containers
