FBI offering $5,000 reward to find violent suspects in Payson casino robbery

Two men carrying a long gun and pistols and fired rounds into the casino and threatened employees, the FBI says.

PAYSON, Ariz. — FBI agents are searching for suspects who they say violently robbed a Payson casino early Tuesday morning.

Authorities say two men in black hoods and masks entered Mazatzal Casino on the Tonto Apache Indian Reservation around 12:30 a.m. They were carrying a long gun and pistols and fired rounds into the casino and threatened employees.

According to the FBI, the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money.

The men, who the FBI describe as 5 feet 10 inches and average build, fled the casino and crossed Highway 87 to a getaway car.

Authorities say no one was injured.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. If anyone has any information regarding the identity of the suspects, contact the FBI at 623-466-1999, or submit a tip online.
