Arizona Snowbowl opens Friday with new summer activities

After fire restrictions forced Snowbowl to close earlier this year, the Flagstaff destination is opening July 13.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - If you’re looking to escape the heat and humidity in the Valley, you can now head up to Arizona Snowbowl to enjoy the cooler temps.

The popular High Country destination opens Friday, July 13 after the US Forest Service lifted fire restrictions and area closures on July 11. Snowbowl was originally scheduled to open for summer on May 26, but the Coconino National Forest was closed since May 23.

“Our staff at Arizona Snowbowl is excited to be back at work this summer,” stated J.R. Murray, general manager of Arizona Snowbowl. “We’re excited to finish out the summer on a strong note.”
