FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - If you’re looking to escape the heat and humidity in the Valley, you can now head up to Arizona Snowbowl to enjoy the cooler temps.
The popular High Country destination opens Friday, July 13 after the US Forest Service lifted fire restrictions and area closures on July 11. Snowbowl was originally scheduled to open for summer on May 26, but the Coconino National Forest was closed since May 23.
“Our staff at Arizona Snowbowl is excited to be back at work this summer,” stated J.R. Murray, general manager of Arizona Snowbowl. “We’re excited to finish out the summer on a strong note.”
Those making their way up north can also participate in the summer activities offered by Snowbowl. Activities include a brand new summer tubing slope located next to the Agassiz Lodge, a family-friendly ropes course designed specially for Snowbowl and the Barrel Roll.
Snowbowl’s chairlift and all the new activities are open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 13 through Sept. 3.
