April is jazz appreciation month which recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary heritage and history of jazz for the entire month.

1. The Nash

They have a very special mission and profound responsibility to ensure the preservation of America's original art form – jazz – for our community, and for generations to come. Jazz jam sessions are from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. every Sunday.

2. Char’s Has the Blues

Home of the best in blues, r&b, funk and soul that the Valley of the Sun has to offer. Voted best blues bar for past 21 years and counting. Get there before 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday for a good seat.

3. T. Cook’s

They celebrate the intrinsic charm, cuisine and romance of the Mediterranean. Check out The Joe Costello Jazz Experience in the piano lounge on Thursday.

4. Elevate Coffee Company

This cafe has a large patio and live music specializing in coffee drinks and light cafe cuisine.
