Federal judge makes partial ruling in Hamilton High School hazing civil case

The judge did uphold the part of the federal civil case pertaining to Title IX, which claims the students were targeted as victims based on their gender.

PHOENIX — United States District Judge Susan Bolton dismissed part of the federal civil case against Hamilton High School coaches administrators. The claims tossed out were that officials violated the due-process rights of the student-athletes.

Bolton did uphold the part of the federal civil case pertaining to Title IX, which claims the students were targeted as victims based on their gender.

Other claims still in question with this civil lawsuit pertain to several alleged violations of state law.
