Mesa Public Schools holding virtual Q&A with superintendent candidates

The event will be live-streamed on the school district’s website and will take place at 6:30 p.m. on April 6.

PHOENIX — Mesa Public Schools will host a virtual Q&A session with the school district's top superintendent candidates next Monday.

The three candidates will each be asked how they would lead the state’s largest school district should they be chosen.

Former superintendent Ember Conley resigned in January after rumors of mismanagement.

The event will be live-streamed on the school district’s website and will take place at 6:30 p.m. on April 6.

The superintendent finalists are:

• Dr. Andi Fourlis, current deputy superintendent at Mesa Public Schools

• Dr. Heath Morrison, current president of the School group at McGraw-Hill Education

• Mrs. Holly Williams, current executive director of master planning & bond projects at Mesa Public Schools

Leaders with the school district will conduct interviews the next day, and the final selection for superintendent is expected April 14 during the Governing Board meeting.

Mesa Public Schools has approximately 64,000 students in its district.
