PD: Pair crashes truck through store, steals 21 guns

Twelve guns have been recovered.

Police arrested two people accused of crashing a truck through a store in Chandler and stealing handguns from the store.

Police say 32-year-old Miguel Gomez and 26-year-old Alicia Gonzalez crashed through a store at Queen Creek and Alma School roads, driving a stolen truck.

They drove the truck to the back of the Shoppers Supply store, and stole 21 handguns, according to the Chandler Police Department.

They fled on foot as police arrived. A woman in a pickup truck picked up the two suspects and police chased the truck onto the Gila River Indian Community.

Police believe the suspects were under the influence of methamphetamine.

Twelve of the 21 guns have been recovered. Chandler detectives are working with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to recover the other guns.
