Man shot and killed in north Phoenix, suspect jailed on multiple charges police say

The shooting occurred at a gas station in the area of Cave Creek and Bell roads. Police have identified Eduardo Quintero as the alleged shooter.

PHOENIX — One man is dead and another is in jail following a shooting outside a gas station in north Phoenix Saturday afternoon.

Phoenix police responded to a gas station near Cave Creek and Bell roads after receiving reports that a man had shot another man.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced deceased there.

Police say that a man who matched the descriptions of the shooter was found on the scene. They later identified 29-year-old Eduardo Quintero as the alleged shooter.

Quintero was booked into jail on multiple charges, including murder.

Detectives are still investigating what led up to the shooting.
