Man dies in Friday morning shooting in Phoenix, police looking for suspects

PHOENIX - A man has died and a suspect is unknown after an early morning shooting at a Phoenix apartment complex on Friday.

Just after 5 a.m., Phoenix Police were called to an apartment complex near 3200 W. Cactus Road and they found a man who was shot. The man was identified as William Jones.

Jones, 26, was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.

Phoenix Police say the scene of the shooting was actually at an adjacent apartment complex parking lot at 8100 N. 35th Avenue.

Police do not have any information on a possible suspect at this time and ask people with information regarding this case to contact Phoenix PD at 602-262-6141 or anonymously at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
