TEMPE - A man has died after he was shot by a man in the same vehicle as him in Tempe, according to police.
Police say a suspect is on the run after shooting the man and then fleeing the vehicle on foot. Police said later they may have identified a suspect.
Tempe police said an argument between the suspect and victim led to Monday night’s shooting at the intersection of Baseline Road and Priest Drive.
The victim of the shooting was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A female witness stayed with the victim at the scene and is now with police. The suspect is possibly known by the victim and witness, according to police.
