PHOENIX - Phoenix PD said it made an arrest in an Oct. 29 sexual assault case, when a 13-year-old girl was walking with her 8-year-old brother and a man took her and assaulted her.
Stefan Sleeper, 22, was arrested Nov. 16 for the assault.
According to the original statement from Phoenix PD, the victim and her brother were walking in the area of 700 E. Vineyard Road when the man Sleeper separated the victim from her brother and took her to a field where he assaulted her.
The assault was interrupted by a witness who came to help when they heard the victim screaming.
Investigators also connected Sleeper to a strong-arm robbery at a business on W. Southern Ave.
Sleeper was booked into jail on charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and robbery.
Phoenix PD's investigation is ongoing.
