16-year-old dead, 2 other teens in critical condition after Phoenix shooting

The Phoenix Police Department says the shooting happened outside a business near Glendale and 19th avenues.

PHOENIX — Editor's note: Phoenix police announced Thursday that 31-year-old Emeterio Trujillo was arrested and booked for murder, drive-by shooting, and probation violation. The above video is from an earlier newscast. 

A 16-year-old boy is dead and two other teenagers are injured after police said they were shot outside a business in Phoenix late Tuesday. 

The Phoenix Police Department said Wednesday that Sean Chinn was killed and 17-year-old and 18-year-old boys are in critical condition after the shooting.

Officers responded to calls of a shooting with multiple victims near 19th and Glendale avenues around 8 p.m.

Officers found two victims inside of the convenience store with gunshot wounds, and one victim outside with a gunshot wound.  

All three males were transported to a local hospital.  

Chinn was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two teenagers are listed in critical but stable condition.

Police said the boys were standing outside of the business when they were shot by an unknown suspect.  

Two ran inside of the business after being shot, and one remained outside.

This investigation is ongoing.
