City leaders welcomed a new flight that arrived in Phoenix from London Sunday.
American Airlines is now offering nonstop flights between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and London's Heathrow Airport
The flights leave London at 9:30 a.m. and arrive in Phoenix at 12:30 p.m., then it leaves Phoenix at 3:10 p.m. and arrives in London at 9:25 a.m.
The flight is on a Boeing 777-200ER with 273 seats.
“American’s new, year-round flight to London will continue to make Phoenix a globally connected city. Tourists and business travelers will be able to conduct business more quickly and continue to grow our economy. An estimated $3 billion is brought into the local economy through international flights — this flight will further that investment,” Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said.
