A blushing bride decided to do away with tradition for her wedding photos. She ditched the flowers and had her wedding party hold rescue dogs instead.

Sarah Mallouk Crain works for Pitties Love Peace, a rescue organization in central Pennsylvania. Sarah and new husband Matt own three rescue dogs.

So naturally, they decided the best way to show their love for these adorable dogs is to include them.

"When the bride, Sarah, first came to me with this idea I was thrilled!" said photographer Caroline Logan. "Being a puppy lover myself, I was extra excited for Matt and Sarah's day to arrive."

Logan said the puppies made the photo shoot more challenging, but also put the party more at ease.

"Having something to divert attention from that uncomfortable 'Oh my goodness, I'm getting my picture taken... what do I do with my hands?!' feeling to pure puppy bliss made for relaxed photos where the bridal party was able to focus on interacting with the fun-loving puppies as I documented it all unfold," said Logan.

And the dogs?

"Thankfully there was no puppy drama, no accidents, and no dresses harmed in the making of the photos!" said Logan.

The pups the bridesmaids were holding are eight-week-old Boxer-Coonhounds. The dogs are all sisters named for some of the original first ladies of the United States: Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth, and Louisa.

The bride held a nine-week-old Pitbull that was rescued from the streets of Brooklyn. They call him "Biggie Smalls."

All six pups are up for adoption. You can contact Pitties Love Peace here via Facebook to ask about it.
