Arizona Biltmore sued over bedbugs

An Arkansas woman is filing a lawsuit against the Arizona Biltmore over bedbug bites and losing some of her belongings.

An Arkansas woman said she was bitten by bedbugs during a recent stay at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel.

According to court documents, Christine Bingaman caught one of the bugs. When she brought it to the front desk, the hotel offered to change her room, provide her 100,000 Hilton Honors points and replace any luggage or clothes she felt she could not take home.

Documents claim Bingaman accepted the offer, but the promises were not kept by those at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel.

The suit accuses the hotel of false advertising, claiming the Biltmore says it is an oasis, which was not represented by being attacked by blood-sucking bugs.

The suit references multiple TripAdvisor reviews complaining about bedbugs as evidence.

The Arizona Biltmore Hotel does not comment on pending litigation.
