Places to find gifts for the holidays but also support local businesses and artists.

PHOENIX — Christmas is exactly four weeks away from Small Business Saturday, and there are plenty of local markets featuring hand-made art and other gifts to help you get a jump-start on shopping.

Here are 12 places to find locally-made gifts from small businesses in the Valley: 

Downtown Phoenix Public Farmers Market

With dozens of vendors, this farmer's market is a great place for gifts. Bonus? The market runs 8 a.m.-1 p.m. every Saturday during season (read: not summer). 

Gilbert Art Walk - Small Business Saturday Celebration

Gilbert Art Walk is a family-friendly, pet-friendly art show with live music that is free to the public.  

Native Art Market

With over 400 Native artists and performers now registered, the Native Art Market provides only quality Native handcrafted items and strives to provide a safe and affordable avenue for Native Americans to sell their handcrafted items directly to tourists and local residents within the metropolitan area.

Merchantile Market at Tempe's Big Surf Waterpark

Nearly 100 makers, designers and small business owners will set up shop at this event. 

Downtown Mesa Small Business Saturday at Soul Center 

Shop local artists, makers and creators at Soul Center, a CommUnity space with a mission to support local vendors and healthy living. It's a market space and collective space for cocreators. 

RYB Black Saturday Popup Event

Shop local Black-owned businesses and enjoy positive vibrations bring the family with you! The event will include food, vendors, music and giveaways. 

Park West Market

Support local small businesses at The Park West Market with 90+ local vendors, food trucks and live music. Find produce, raw honey, fresh bread, coffee, baked goods, pasta, tamales, dog products, Christmas gifts and more.

Uptown Farmers Market

The popular market is open 8 a.m.-1 p.m. for Small Business Saturday! The market will feature: 

  • Hand-Stitched (aprons, quilts, baby clothes, totes)
  • Hand-Carved (wooden train sets, kitchen utensils, cutting boards in all sizes & woods)
  • Hand-Forged (trivets, frying pans, copper coffee scoops)
  • Hand-Thrown (clay kitchen pottery: noodle bowls, colanders, mugs)
  • Hand-Made (jewelry, t-shirts, artwork, chess sets, soaps, scrubs)
  • Hand-Jarred (jams, pickles, honey, spices, sauces; there are hundreds of jarred items that don't require refrigeration; just add a bow). 
  • For the Foodie (cocktail sets, get their knives sharpened, stop by the info booth for a market gift certification)

Amadio Ranch Heritage Farm pop-up farm stand

This pop-up stand is located in the Keller Williams Parking Lot at 830 South Higley Road in Gilbert. Here you'll find farm-fresh, locally grown produce, fresh baked pies, local honey, jams, pickles and homemade fudge.

Lula's Arts, Sweets & More

Head to Lula's on Small Business Saturday for sales on art and baked goods 

Long Dog Plant Co. pop-up market

In honor of Small Business Saturday, LD Plant Co. and Deseo Coffee are hosting a pop-up market for locally owned small businesses.

The event will have a raffle for a basket of goodies including a plant and local items. Raffles will be collected at the event at $5 per ticket.

Holiday pop-up at Bragg's Pie Factory

Find the "coolest gifts" for everyone on your list at Bragg's holiday pop-up markets, every Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. starting Nov. 27 and running through Dec 18.

Local vendors "selling unique handmade and vintage items" will gather behind Bragg's Pie Factory at 1301 Grand Ave. in downtown Phoenix. Stop by each week for different vendors.

The Historic 1947 Bragg's Pie Factory, on the National Register of Historic Places, houses a mix of small retail uses, including art studios and galleries.
