How to see what Facebook knows about you

You can download your entire Facebook history.

PHOENIX - Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg now says the information of 87 million people was possibly compromised by the election firm Cambridge Analytica, but that all 2.2 billion users have probably had their information "scraped".

Zuckerberg said during a conference call this week that a security setting mistakenly allowed anyone to search Facebook profiles and find specific people and their public information by using an email address or phone number.

Zuckerberg also admitted that Facebook has been collecting detailed contact information from Android users, including the contact lists stored in the phones.

Here's how to see everything Facebook knows about you.

In the upper right corner, click the down facing triangle, then click on Settings.

At the bottom of the page, click on Download a copy of your Facebook data.

Facebook will prompt you to input your password, then prepare a downloadable copy of your entire Facebook profile, including photos, videos, comments, and friends.

Double-click on index.html to be taken to your profile data.

If you were an Android user at any point, a copy of your contacts list at the time will likely appear in the "Contact Info" section.

Facebook claims it was using that contact list data in order to help users find their friends on Facebook more easily.
