PHOENIX - Cactus View Elementary put their school pride on display this week -- celebrating the accomplishments of their Bully Patrol Squad.
The squad consists of fourth, fifth and sixth graders who take on the issue of bullying.
In the four years the program has been in place, bullying has largely become a thing of the past.
Now, the squad mostly focuses on being positive role models for their peers.
Jennifer Dodt, Phoenix Police school resource officer, said the point of the program is to have a place where kids can go if they have trouble working a problem out.
"If they are sad or alone, they know they can always go to someone on the Bully Patrol Squad to help them work out an issue," she said.
Dodt started the program four years ago and said she hopes other schools adopt it.
