PHOENIX - Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan has scheduled three public meetings next week in the wake of Maricopa County's voting fiasco during the March 22 presidential primary.

The meetings are:

-5:30 - 7 p.m. Monday, April 11, at the Cartwright School District Building, 5220 W. Indian School Road, Phoenix

-5:30 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, Church of the Beatitudes, 555 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix. Voting lines at the church ended well after midnight March 23.

-6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, McQueen Park Activity Center, 510 N. Horne St., Gilbert

Much of the blame for the voting fiasco is being placed on Maricopa County's decision to use just 60 polling places, down from 200 in a less-competitive primary four years ago.

The U.S. Justice Department is investigating Maricopa County's conduct of the election.

Reagan's office isn't being investigated. She has said her office knew there were just 60 polling places but didn't advise Maricopa County elections officials to increase the number.

This was Reagan's first election as secretary of state.
