Jacob Priestley will soon turn 16, an age, his mom says, they never thought they'd see.

"Since he has a terminal disease we don't know how many birthdays he will have and so we vowed to make each one bigger and better than the last," Britney Priestleyā€ˇ wrote to 12 News on Facebook.

The disease that Jacob has attacks his organs and takes his energy away. For the past few years Jacob's family has been holding a card drive to collect birthday cards for him. He wished for 100,000 birthday cards for his 15th birthday.

"The love and support he gets through these cards are priceless and this is something we cherish," his mom said.
