PHOENIX — An Arizona Girl Scout troop made a sweet donation to local foster children this week.
According to a Facebook post from Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, girls from Troop 4443 ended their cookie-selling season by donating 97 boxes of cookies and $200 from their cookie sales.
The troop visited the nonprofit’s Phoenix office Monday.
The cookies are not the only thing that makes this donation sweet, the reason the girls wanted to help will melt your heart. According to Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, the girl scouts wanted to make the donation because two of them have a friend in foster care and they all wanted to do something for kids like him.
Arizona Friends of Foster Children shared a photo of Troop 4443 hauling boxes of Girl Scout cookies as they smile and pose with a check.
Good job, girls!
