Chef William Turner shows us how to make a Shrimp Po Boy and we take a bite out of a King Cake!

Fried Shrimp Po Boy Recipe

*New Orleans creole buttered French bread toasted and set aside. 5-6 inches long split

6-8 oz of fresh shrimp, 60 count

1 egg

3 cups of flour

1 cup fine corn meal

1/3 cup of water

Blackening season

Salt and Pepper

Mix egg, water pinch of salt and pepper (egg wash)

Combine flour, cornmeal, and a pinch of blackening season, salt pepper mix well (breading)

Place shrimp in egg wash, remove and drop separately into the breading, toss shrimp around to insure fully coated.

Shake excess breading from flour and place into hot oil 350*

fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. 

remove from oil and let strain. Immediately add shrimp to prepped French Bread. Enjoy

Serving suggestions, lettuce tomatoes, remoulade , hot sauce would be considered fully dressed.
