CHOCOLATE ACAI BOWL
Makes 1
1 (100g) frozen acai puree packet
1 sliced frozen banana
½ cup chocolate almond milk
2 TBSP peanut, almond or hazelnut butter
1 TBSP raw cacao powder
Toppings: Cacao nibs, fresh raspberries, peanuts, almonds or hazelnuts
1. Place frozen acai puree and sliced banana in a blender jar. Let soften while you measure the other ingredients.
2. Add the almond milk, nut butter and cacao powder. Blend on high until smooth.
3. Pour into a bowl. Place toppings decoratively over the acai mixture.
Tip: Slice very ripe bananas and freeze in a single layer, 1 banana per layer. Store in freezer for up to 6 months.
TROPICAL ACAI BOWL
Makes 1
1 to 4 TBSP acai powder (follow package recommendation)
1 sliced frozen banana
1 cup tropical frozen fruit (such as mango, pineapple, coconut)
1 cup almond milk, coconut water, or water
1 ripe avocado, pitted, flesh diced
1 to 2 pitted dates
Toppings: Fresh fruit, shaved coconut, hemp hearts, chia seeds
1. Place acai powder, sliced banana, and frozen fruit in a blender jar. Let soften while you measure the liquid and prepare the remaining ingredients.
2. Add the liquid, avocado and dates. Blend on high until smooth.
3. Pour into a bowl. Place topping decoratively over the acai mixture.
