More and more stores are using the chip card method and services like Apple Pay.
Big credit card companies are catching on to the trend.
Starting April 1 four of the biggest credit card companies: Visa, American Express, Mastercard and Discover will not require a signature for merchants when customers pay with a credit card.
American Express has already got rid of signatures world-wide. While Mastercard and Discover are doing away with signatures for every merchant in North America.
Visa will still need you to sign if you swipe your card instead of using a check.
