Luke Lyddon is a sports reporter and anchor for 12 News, contributing across all shows and platforms. He co-hosts Cardinals Locker Room with Lina Washington and contributes to Friday Night Fever and 12 Sports Tonight. He joined Team 12 in November, 2021.

Luke joined 12 News from TEGNA’s sister station, WFMY News 2 in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he anchored and covered sports for four years.

During his tenure at WFMY, Luke was recognized with a Mid-South Regional Emmy Award for Best Sportscast.

A proud graduate of Chaparral High School, Luke grew up in Scottsdale and is thrilled to be back home covering Arizona sports. Luke graduated from the University of Missouri, where he earned his bachelors in broadcast journalism. Earlier in his career, Luke spent three years as a weekend sports anchor/reporter at KVIA, ABC7, in El Paso.

FUN FACTS:

-Luke was born in Kansas City, Missouri and still has a die-hard allegiance to his Kansas City Chiefs, watching them win Super Bowl 50 in person

-He loves fitness, especially playing golf and hockey; he also loves playing video games.

-Donuts are his favorite food!
