Josh Sanders is a reporter and multi-skilled journalist for 12 News, contributing across all shows and platforms. He joined Team 12 in April 2020.
Josh joined 12 News from KERO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Bakersfield, Calif., where he served as a multi-media journalist, weekend anchor, and weather anchor. During his tenure at KERO, Josh covered everything from breaking news, to local and national politics, to community human interest stories, including social justice. Highlights include the Ridgecrest Earthquake, California wildfires, Grapevine snowstorm (which trapped him and others for 36 hours on top of the mountain), a high-profile murder trial, clergy abuse, homelessness, ICE and immigration.
Earlier in his career, Josh, a former college basketball player, worked as a consultant with the NCAA on developing diversity and inclusion policies for college athletic programs.
He also worked as a host for the Los Angles Dodgers and as a sideline correspondent for the 2017 World Baseball Classic and covered three Rose Bowl games as a sideline correspondent and digital producer. He's also served as a guest contributor to MSNBC and Huffington Post Live.
Josh is a proud grad of James Madison University, earning his Bachelor of Science.
Josh loves to travel- a passion he discovered as a child when he spent three years living in Madrid, Spain. An avid foodie and dog lover, he also loves hiking and going to concerts.
