Eyes on the road: What you need to know about Thursday Night Football traffic

You can bet there will be bumper-to-bumper traffic on the I-10 to and from the game

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Kickoff is scheduled for 6:25 p.m. Thursday night as the Arizona Cardinals take on the Seattle Seahawks, and you can bet there will be bumper-to-bumper traffic on the I-10 to and from the game.

This is because of afternoon commuters and game-goers. ADOT said ticket holders, should avoid the I-10 and possibly consider taking the Loop 101 -- especially those drivers in north Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Other routes include Indian School Road and Grand Avenue.

According to the South Mountain Freeway website, there will be lane restrictions today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both east and westbound between 35th and 75th avenues.

Freeway message boards will carry any updates on current and anticipated traffic conditions as well as recommended exits for the stadium.

ADOT will also provide updates on Twitter, @ArizonaDOT.
