It was just a typical player greeting before a preseason game, but represents so much more.
Arizona Cardinals backup running back Chris Johnson and Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch met up before the two teams’ preseason tilt and it was caught on camera.
In the photo are a lot of yards and touchdowns. In fact, as Odegard notes in his tweet, the two have combined for nearly 19,000 career rushing yards.
With a little math, that amounts to more than 10.5 miles of NFL running, which is quite the accomplishment.
They are two of the best running backs of their generation.
Could the two have a similar encounter in Canton, Ohio someday? There’s a chance.
