Arguably one of the greatest NFL running backs is now an Arizona Cardinals.
But the question is, what does the 10-year veteran Adrian Peterson have left in the tank? A lot, he says.
“I have so much left,” he said at Wednesday's practice. “I have a lot left in the tank. Stay tuned, and you’ll be able to see it first-hand.”
You could say Peterson, who rushed for 81 yards averaging three yards per carry this season with the Saints, was happy to leave New Orleans. He referenced his prayers being answered when he learned about his trade to Arizona.
When asked about his thoughts on the 32-year-old running back, coach Bruce Arians said he was a "violent runner who still has it."
Will Peterson, wearing the No. 23, improve a team going into Week 6 last in rushing? We'll have to wait and see. He has a short week to prepare for what's expected to be his first start with the Cards Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- a team he's rushed over 100 yards against a couple times in his career, according to Pro Football Reference.
In the meantime, at least he has a place to stay -- in the guest house of his friend and beloved Cardinals receiver, Larry Fitzgerald.
