Career milestones within reach for Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, Adrian Peterson vs. Rams

Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians called last week’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers “a day for old guys,” as Carson Palmer, Adrian Peterson and Larry Fitzgerald all starred with big performances.

Against the Los Angeles Rams in London in Week 7, all three could reach career milestones.

Carson Palmer

Palmer has been moving up the all-time list for career passing yards this season. With 109 yards against the Rams, he can pass Vinny Testaverde, who threw for 46,233 yards in his career, for 12th place.

Adrian Peterson

Peterson would reach 12,000 career rushing yards with 38 against the Rams. It would be his 129th career game. Only three players in NFL history reached that milestone in fewer games: Jim Brown (115), Eric Dickerson (118) and Barry Sanders (125).

If Peterson rushes for a touchdown against the Rams, it will be the 100th in his career, making him just the ninth player to reach that number. It would tie him for seventh all-time, and he would be the fifth-fastest to make it to that number.

Larry Fitzgerald

One catch at Twickenham Stadium would mark the 40th stadium in which Fitzgerald has made a catch and would also extend his streak of games with at least one reception to 201.

With 81 receiving yards, Fitzgerald would pass Tim Brown for sixth place on the all-time list for career receiving yards. Brown had 14,934 in his career.
