The Arizona Cardinals have yet to even play their Week One game, but according to one expert they are going to be Super Bowl LII Champions.
CBS’ Will Brinson has the Cardinals not just winning the NFC West, but winning the Super Bowl. Let that sink in for a second; a team that has been projected to finish 8-8 by some experts, now is being looked at as a Super Bowl champion.
His reasoning behind the pick? For Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, and Bruce Arians, this could be the final run. Palmer is under contract until 2019, Fitzgerald is getting older, and Coach Arians has had some health problems in the past. I am a huge fan of great stories, and what a story that would be for Palmer and Fitzgerald to go out with a ring.
Cardinals fans know that there were high expectations going into last season and after a sluggish start to the season, the playoffs were out of reach.
This year Palmer looks to be healthier than ever, the defense seems more tough and talented than ever, and finally they have a special teams unit that can actually win help win games instead of losing them.
But fans, please do not get your hopes up! Focus on Detroit before thinking about a Super Bowl.
