National Pupusa Day is here and the Arizona Pupusas Festival is coming

Have you ever had a pupusa?

A pupusa is a national food from El Salvador. It's a handmade corn tortilla filled inside with the choice of meat or cheese.

The Salvadorean government declared that every second Sunday in the month of November is National Pupusa Day, according to a release.

On Sunday, Nov. 12 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tempe Kiwanis Ruben Romero Ramada Park, friends and families are invited to enjoy the Arizona Pupusas Festival

Arizona is bringing the taste of El Salvador here.

The festival will include live bands, kid zone, folklore dancing and authentic Salvadorean food.

The community will also be able to give back to the community.

The proceeds gathered from the event will help organizations around the Valley.

It will cost $12 at the door, but you can purchase presale tickets for just $7. Children under 12 years-old will be free.
