The heat is starting to blaze in Phoenix.
Summer is here and the skin is definitely feeling it, which is why the need for staying hydrated is particularly high.
According to Maricopa County, in 2016 there were 130 reported heat-related deaths.
Jacksons Car Wash in Phoenix is helping get clean water to those who need it by taking the initiative of hosting a month-long summer hydration drive.
Ten Jacksons Car Wash locations will be collecting donated water cases to help people in need for the Salvation Army's Heat Relief stations.
This is the first year the car wash is hosting the drive.
"It can be any brand of cased water. We have Jacksons water in the facilities if they wish to purchase if they didn't bring one with them, but they can bring water from any local gas station or supermarket, as long as it hasn't been open," said Sarah Acevedo, the promotions manager for Jacksons Car Wash.
On Saturday, June 24 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Jacksons Car Wash in Scottsdale will be giving free full-service car washes if you donate a case of water.
If you can't make it that day, you can also stop at the other nine locations throughout the month until June 30.
You can drop off a case and receive $6 off your car wash, which is equivalent to an express car wash at Jacksons.
If you happen to have an extra case of water, remember, you can help others beat the heat.
