American Heart Association needs red knitted hats for babies

If you knit or crochet, the American Heart Association is in need of volunteers to make these adorable red hats for babies born in February to celebrate American Heart Month.

The association is trying to raise awareness about congenital heart defects.

These red hats also are used to empower mothers to live heart-healthy lives and help their kids do the same, according to the American Heart Association.

The association will also be accepting donations of yarn.

Below are participating hospitals in the Greater Phoenix and Northern Arizona:

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus
Abrazo Central Campus
Abrazo Scottsdale Campus
Abrazo West Campus
