This 'national convention' teaches young women leadership skills

Event to Teach Young Women About Leadership

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - About 1,000 young women and their families will arrive in Grand Rapids for leadership training and philanthropic activities at the Job's Daughters International conference.

Organizers say Job’s Daughters is open to any young woman, aged 10 to 20 years old, looking to help others while having fun, making new friends, and learning organizational and leadership skills that will help them down the road. Job’s Daughters learn to work as part of a team and practice democratic principles as they run their own meetings, decide their own activities, and plan their own events.

Job’s Daughters is open to girls who have a direct Masonic relationship, but organizers say they are happy to welcome people who do not have that background.

You can learn more about this organization by checking out their website at jobsdaughtersinternational.org

The event happens July 27th - 30th at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and DeVos Place Convention Center.
